Lauren & Matt had a wonderful wedding at Cedar Grove in Vicksburg, MS. Everyone one had hoped for sunny skies, but we got plenty of rain instead! No bother, Cedar Grove is beautiful inside and even has a chapel on site, so there was no problem and Lauren and Matt had a beautiful wedding anyway! Their reception was held at Anchuca. Lauren wore a gown by Maggie Sottero from Imaginations. Music was provided by DJ51-50. Hair by Alicia Ashford. Flowers by Ivy Place, and Cakes were by the Cake Diva.

Lauren comes highly recommended by us as a hair stylist if you’re planning on getting married! She can be found at Molecules in Madison, MS.

Emily and Tyler – Wedding – Jackson, MS

Emily and Tyler were married in the chapel of First Baptist Church Jackson. Their reception was held at FBCJ where our photobooth provided tons of entertainment. Brooke and Karl – Engaged! – Jackson, MS

Brooke and Karl are busy people, but we’re so glad we found a time and day for them to be all in the same city for a great engagement session in near perfect weather. The only thing we could have asked for was a little less wind! We had a great time, and we hope that we get to hang out with Brooke and Karl sometime again before we see them walk down the aisle. Jaclyn and Rob – Wedding – Jackson, MS

Jaclyn and Rob were married at the Mississippi Craft Center. Following the outdoor ceremony, they held a reception in the Craft Center with catering by Cool Water Cafe. The bride wore an Allure gown. The flowers were arranged by William Box at That Special Touch. Sandra Brewer designed the cakes, and Scott Steele provided the Music. Jaclyn and Rob celebrated their honeymoon in Whistler, Canada. We loved getting to know them and all of their awesome attendants, and we really enjoyed getting to be a part of their wedding day! Leah Frances and Jonathan – Engaged – Jackson, MS

Leah Frances and Jonathan were great sports on a warm march day! We had lots of fun downtown and got all kinds of fun photos of the two of them! We went by the art museum and walked up and down capitol street, and had a great time. I did have to go on a drink run for us in the middle of it, because it was getting a little toasty! Leah Frances and Jonathan were awesome, and we had such an easy and enjoyable time photographing them! We can’t wait for Leah Frances’ wedding, but we’ll have to because we’ve still got to photograph her sister’s 4 weeks before. Susan, their mom, is a trooper! Can you imagine having 2 daughters get married 4 weeks apart! We are so lucky to be photographing both of these lovely ladies and their charming guys.

Megan & Jay – Engaged – Natchez, MS

Megan and Jay are engaged, and I had an awesome afternoon in Natchez with them getting to walk around, see the sights, and take some great photos! We are excited about their upcoming wedding in Natchez, not only because Megan and Jay are such an incredible couple, but because Natchez is a pretty cool place too! I think Natchez might have more art galleries per capita than any other city around, along with delicious hot tamales at Fat Mama’s and smoky barbecue at the Pig Inn; and don’t forget you can enjoy all this walking along the riverfront. Megan and Jay seem to certainly be having a good time! They are a really great couple, and we love how much Jay makes Megan laugh! It’s always great to have a continuously grinning bride, and we think Jay might just keep Megan grinning ear to ear the whole day long.

Lucy and Burk – Wedding – Jackson, MS

Lucy and Burk were married by Steven Smith at First Baptist Church of Jackson, MS on March 24. They first met at First Baptist as part of the First Baptist Jackson College Ministry. When Lucy and Burk told us the story of how they met, it went something like “Burk was interested and Lucy WASN’T!! But Burk says “persistence” is key, and eventually Lucy fell after many attempts! The rest is history!” Maybe that’s a good lesson to all the guys out there when you find a great girl! Their reception was held at Union Station downtown in Jackson. The catering and flowers were by Wendy Putt of Fresh Cut. The brides makeup and hair was by Antoinique Battaglia. Her cake was decorated by Sandra Groover. Her dress is by Casablanca.

Courtney and Jonathan – Wedding – Jackson, MS

Courtney and Jonathan had a beautiful March wedding. We had such a blast with their wedding party and them! Courtney was such a beautiful bride to get to photograph, and Julie and I loved how happy and cheerful her expressions were! Their wedding and reception was held in Courtney’s childhood church of Alta Woods Baptist in Jackson, MS. They live out of state, so we are doing a special post-nuptial engagement shoot when they are back in Mississippi. We are definitely excited about that!

Katy and Cameron – Engaged!

You last saw pics of Katy and Cameron from my secret shoot of their proposal. Now Julie and I finally got a chance to go out with them and take some engagement pics! This is surprisingly our first time shooting in the Ag Museum’s little town. We had an awesome time with Katy and Cameron, because they are so easy going and fun! They had to drive all the way from Texas for their engagement session! We’ve had engagement sessions with miniature donkeys, but this time there were only full sized ones! The goats were the most interested in getting in on the engagement session, though. We took photos at the Doctor’s office, behind the log cabin, at the chapel, the barn, the school house, on a tractor, and in front of an old Ford. Katy is a teacher, so I particularly love the school house picture; and I’m hoping she does too! Finally we went downtown for a few quick shots with the capitol in the background. Julie and I had an awesome time with these guys, and we know their wedding is going to be great!

Misti and Alfonso – Wedding – Brandon, MS

Misti and Alfonso’s wedding was a blast! They had tons of fun, lots of food and drink, and a lot of friends and family ready to party! Some family came all the way from Venezuela to help them celebrate. They were married at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS, followed by a reception on the reservoir where they danced the night away.
